Today, we begin a 2-part interview with Sam Tunstall of Rainbow City.
Sam transitioned this week fro a 14 year employee at Garcy Corporation in Piedmont, AL to new owner of Garcy Manufacturing, saving approximately a third of the 120 jobs that would have been lost after former owner Leggett and Platt announced this past January that they were closing the entire plant down this month.
Today, we speak with Tunstall about the process he went through from finding out about the closing from corporate managers in late summer 2011 to announcing the closure in January, 2012 to becoming an entrepreneur this month on Community Matters.

Jason talks about why he brought his business to Gadsden - despite being offered buildings and incentives to go elsewhere. And, about what it takes to move from a "safe" paycheck from a corporate job to the safety of knowing your future (and those of your employees) rely on your efforts.
